Meeting of the Rapporteur Group to Prepare for the WTSA will take place on May 23 in Brasilia, Brazil |
The Ninth meeting of the Permanent Executive Committee of CITEL, COM/CITEL,
CONSIDERING:
a) Article 7 of the Statute and articles 14, 15, 16, 17 and 85 of CITEL Regulations referring to those organizations that may be represented by observers at CITEL meetings, and
b) Resolution COM/CITEL RES. 62 (VIII-98), approved during the Eighth meeting of the Permanent Executive Committee of CITEL, that includes a list of entities and organizations invited to participate in CITEL meetings,
BEARING IN MIND:
The request received by the International Telecommunications Users Group, INTUG,
RESOLVES:
1. To authorize the Executive Secretariat to invite the following entities and organizations, that are directly involved in the telecommunications sector, to participate in CITEL meetings:
- - International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
- - American Radio Relay League Incorporated (ARRL)
- - Association of Telecommunication Companies of the Andean Community (ASETA)
- - Caribbean Association of National Telecommunication Organization (CANTO)
- - Caribbean Telecommunication Council (CTC)
- - Caribbean Telecommunication Union (CTU)
- - Hispano-American Association of Research Centers and Telecommunications Enterprises (AHCIET)
- - International Amateur Radio Union, Region 2 (IARU-2)
- - International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
- - International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT)
- - International Organization of Aeronautical Telecommunications (SITA)
- - International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT)
- - International Telecommunications Users Group (INTUG)
- - Pacific Telecommunication Council (PTC)
- - Telecommunications Regional Technical Commission of Central America (COMTELCA)
2. To repeal Resolution COM/CITEL RES. 62 (VIII-98).
INSTRUCTS THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARIAT:
To prepare a table containing a summarized program of CITEL annual activities, showing in detail the date, place and purpose of the meetings, which will be forwarded to the other international organizations and/or entities in order to keep them informed on those activities and enable them to request their participation as observers through usual procedures.
