License term is 10 years. Licensing of non-US government earth stations and satellites (except BSS) is governed by Part 25 of the FCC Rules and Regulations (47CFR25). Other parts of the FCC Rules can also apply. For example, Part 2 (47CFR2) for Frequency Allocation Table, emission designators, out-of-band emissions, etc. Also, Part 17 (47CFR17) applies to the FAA coordination of antenna structures. Earth station and satellite licensing is administered by the FCC’s International Bureau. Electronic filing of earth station applications is now available through the International Bureau’s Filing System (IBFS) database.
