Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Implementation Guide
- To identify the status of radio frequency use,
particularly in Region 2, and to develop resolutions and recommendations for
harmonization of the use of the broadcasting spectrum (radio and
television);
- To follow the activities being carried out and studies
being conducted within the ITU, especially in the ITU-R and ITU-T Sectors,
recognizing the complementary roles of said Sectors, in order to be able to
develop views on broadcasting topics, including provisions for consideration
in the ITU Study Groups and Working Parties;
- To obtain and disseminate information regarding new
transmission and access technologies in broadcasting services in Region 2;
- To encourage the Region 2 Administrations to implement
digital technologies related directly and indirectly to broadcasting
services;
