XX Meeting of COM/CITEL will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica from December 3 to 5, 2008

Deadline Registration extended: December 8th, 2003
The Secretariat of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) of the Organization of American States presents its compliments and, on behalf of the Chair of the Permanent Executive Committee of CITEL and the Coordinator of the CITEL Regional Training Centers, informs you that a large number of requests have been received to postpone the distance-education course “National Spectrum Management with Emphasis on Space Services.” The reasons for those requests have essentially been that various important telecommunications activities are being held on the same dates. In view of these requests and the low number of candidates who have applied for fellowships and after discussing the matter with the ITU Center of Excellence for the Americas Region, it has been decided that CITEL will offer available fellowships for the same course to be held from March 8 to April 10, 2004.
Accordingly, it has been decided to extend the deadline for registering for CITEL fellowships until December 8, 2003. The specific course data follow:
Course Information:
(available only in spanish).
Distance-education course “National Spectrum Management with Emphasis on Space Services.” This course is being offered by the Center of Excellence for the Americas Region of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Number of fellowships: CITEL is offering eighty (80) complete registration fellowships (US$ 200).
New deadline for the receipt of applications: December 8, 2003, in Washington, D.C., United States. The deadline for submitting applications to the ONEs differs from country to country and should therefore be confirmed with the corresponding ONE in the country of origin or permanent residence.
Course dates: March 8 to April 10, 2004 (the number of course sections will depend on the number of students).
Language: Spanish.
